MedSimApplying emergency first aid or responding to a major incident within a text book class environment does not compare when confronted with the realities of a real emergency. Our adrenalin packed programs build skills and confidence in first aiders, preparing them to effectively respond to a real crisis.

Whether you want a totally customised program to enhance performance and impact, or training that integrates seamlessly with existing programmes, our experienced trainers will carefully design a package or exercise that's right for you.

 

Participants will experience Tactical’s concept of Realism in Training, with the use of special effects, simulated medical injuries involving wounds, fractures, amputations, burns and more, to create realistic simulated workplace accidents. Scenarios can be customised to simulate the situations that may occur within your work environment.

Delivery

This program can be customised to meet specific organisational needs.

Half day and full day training options are available. The session focuses on the application of practical skills. Scenarios can be customised to specific workplace examples.

Group bookings of up to 15 persons is available.

This course is delivered on site (subject to suitability of any practical fire components) or at Tactical’s training facility.

HLTAID001 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation- CPR is a combination of mouth-to-mouth resuscitation and chest compressions that delivers oxygen and artificial blood circulation to a person who is in cardiac arrest. It can be life-saving first aid. Participants must be 14 years or older. Participants under 14 years must provide written permission to attend the course from their parent or guardian.

HLTAID002 Provide Basic Emergency Life Support- introduces participants to the skills and background knowledge to recognise and respond to life threatening emergencies using basic life support techniques. 

HLTAID003 Provide first aid– previously known as Senior First Aid and Apply First Aid – this course incorporates the skills of both HLTAID001 & HLTAID002. HLTAID003 provides competencies required to recognise and respond to common life-threatening injuries or illnesses, until the arrival of medical or other assistance. Meets Work Health and Safety requirements for most workplaces. 

HLTAID005 Provide first aid in remote situations– provides the skills and knowledge required to provide first aid response and emergency life support to a casualty in a remote and/or isolated situation. This program applies to workers who may be required to prepare for and provide a first aid response in locations beyond the reach of timely medical assistance

HLTAID006 Provide advanced first aid– provides the skills and knowledge required to provide an advanced first aid response, including management of the incident and other first aiders. This program applies to workers who may be required to provide, coordinate and manage a first aid response across a range of complex situations, including community and workplace settings.

HLTAID007 Provide advanced resuscitation– provides the skills and knowledge required to use specialised resuscitation equipment including AED, bag-valve-mask, oropharyngeal airway adjunct, an oxygen resuscitation system with oxygen cylinder and a selection of selection of oxygen equipment.
