Workplace Emergency Awareness - AS 3745-2010
Designed for
Staff and occupants of any workplace and focuses on the performance required to observe workplace emergencies including evacuations in accordance with the requirements of AS 3745-2010 which provides the minimum standards for workplace emergency procedures and evacuation.
Course content
This value-packed course provides an overview and awareness of workplace evacuation plans, staff roles and responsibilities, building emergency systems and procedures, emergency codes and first attack fire fighting equipment. Participants learn in a fully inter-active environment unique to Tactical Training using realistic emergency simulations involving fire, smoke, physical injuries and special effects to prepare them for the potential stress of a real emergency in the workplace.
This course equips organisations to comply with the Work Health and Safety Act 2012 and AS 1851 and 3745, training should be scheduled for staff every 12 months.
Topics include
identify, monitor and report situations that could lead to workplace emergencies,identify, report and correct situations that could prevent workplace emergencies from being safely, identify, report and correct situations that could prevent workplace emergencies from being safely handled, prepare for emergency situations, report emergencies and potential emergencies, respond to emergency warnings and advice, evacuate personnel from a work area. Duration
Approx. 4 hours
This information packed course is offered morning or afternoon sessions to suit. Participants should wear clothing that is comfortable, with closed shoes, a hat and sun cream for protection.

On completion of a Nationally Accredited program, participants receive a Statement of Attainment recognised under the Australian Qualifications Framework for the following units of competency:
