Fire extinguisher, fire blanket, and fire hose reel training for STAFF and WARDENS.

It is easier than you think to meet your WHS responsibilities and provide staff with the understanding and practical application of the use of first attack firefighting equipment.

This foundational course will examine the various types of portable fire extinguishers, classes of fire, how to control small uncomplicated fires using the appropriate equipment, and more.

Participants will extinguish live fire in a controlled environment using extinguishers, fire blankets, and hose reel equipment. Our unique approach to training will empower, inspire, and challenge. CPPFES2005 Description

This unit of competency specifies the skills and knowledge required to demonstrate first attack firefighting equipment. It includes demonstrating and explaining to clients how to correctly and safely use portable fire extinguishers, fire hose reels and fire blankets in emergency situations.

The unit is suitable for those with basic skills and knowledge undertaking routine work tasks under the direction of more experienced workers.

Licensing, legislative, regulatory or certification requirements apply to this unit of competency in some states and territories. For further information, check with the relevant regulatory authority.

Who should do fire attack firefighting training?

This program is designed for individuals or groups who:

are required to respond to and confine small workplace emergencies in accordance with relevant legislative, industry, and organisational requirements including WHS policies and procedures.
need to complete a basic fire safety course as part of a workplace induction or general safety awareness training.
require the unit as a pre-requisite for another course.
are seeking self-improvement / professional development.
want hands-on practical experience in extinguishing live fire in a controlled environment.

Chief Warden (Deputy Chief Warden) - Focuses on the actions to be taken by the Emergency Control Organisation (ECO) and all occupants once an emergency occurs. It is designed to ensure an appropriate response to an emergency up to the arrival of the emergency services.
