Emergency Warden, Area Warden, Floor Warden, Fire Warden, it doesn’t matter what you call them –we think of them as the unsung heroes of the workplace! These are the awesome people who have been entrusted to recognise and respond to an emergency under the direction of the Chief Warden and in line with company emergency management plans. This course equips participants with knowledge and practical skills on warden roles and responsibilities, planning and conducting evacuations, fire safety and prevention, practical firefighting, initial response to critical incidents, contacting emergency services, emergency codes, escape-hide-tell, practical responses to emergency situations and more, to prepare them to confidently respond to workplace emergencies. |

Participants will extinguish live fire in a controlled environment using extinguishers, fire blankets, and hose reel equipment. Our unique approach to training will empower and challenge. Realism in Training ensures that our training is uncompromising in its quality to arm participants with the skills to know what to do and how to do it should the need arise.
Nationally Accredited Certification on Completion
On successful completion of this highly practical course, participants receive a nationally accredited statement of attainment for the following units of competency:
- PUAFER005 Operate as part of an emergency control organisation
- CPPFES2005 Demonstrate first attack firefighting equipment
Under the provisions of AS 3745-2010 refresher courses are to be completed every 2 years.
