HLTAID009 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation
Provide CPRProvide cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) is a combination of mouth-to-mouth resuscitation and chest compressions that delivers oxygen and artificial blood circulation to a person who is in cardiac arrest. It can be life-saving first aid. Participants must be 14 years or older. Participants under 14 years must provide written permission to attend the course from their parent or guardian. Designed for
Anyone requiring the knowledge and practical skills to perform potentially lifesaving CPR for the workplace, recreational purposes, sporting, or home use. Covers provision of CPR for adults, children, infants and use of AED.
Duration
Provide CPR is a half day program delivered over 3-4 Hours.

Nationally Accredited Certification on Completion
On successful completion of this highly practical course, the participant will receive a statement of attainment. As per the recommendations of the Australian Resuscitation Council Guideline 10.1, all people trained in CPR should refresh their CPR skills at least annually (every 12 months).
Assessment
Tactical offers a 'hands on approach' with progressive assessment throughout the course, including multiple choice questionnaires and demonstration of CPR using manikins and realistic scenarios.
Please be aware that due to Nationally Registered Training assessment requirements, participants must be capable of performing CPR on an adult resuscitation manikin placed on the floor. Contact us if you need to discuss any individual needs.

HLTAID010 Provide basic emergency life support- introduces participants to the skills and background knowledge to recognise/respond to life threatening emergencies using basic life support techniques.
HLTAID011 Provide first aid– previously known as Senior First Aid and Apply First Aid – this course incorporates the skills of both HLTAID009 & HLTAID010. HLTAID011 provides competencies required to recognise and respond to common life-threatening injuries or illnesses, until the arrival of medical or other assistance. Meets Work Health and Safety requirements for most workplaces.
HLTAID0015 Provide advanced resuscitation and oxygen therapy– provides the skills and knowledge required to use specialised resuscitation equipment including AED, bag-valve-mask, oropharyngeal airway adjunct, an oxygen resuscitation system with oxygen cylinder and a selection of selection of oxygen equipment.
